Site Access Help

This information is provided to assist members that may be having problems accessing the website.

Access Requirements.

Access is available to ASPACI Members who are financial.  Financial members have been provided with an individual username and password.  This information is required to login and access restricted areas of the website.

This website has been developed to work with web browsers that conform to www3 standards. Most modern browsers should work.  The site has been tested with:

  1. Mozilla Firefox (recommended)

  2. Microsoft Internet Explorer

  3. Opera

The browser must have cookies enabled  for access control.  Without cookies you can use the public areas of the site but you cannot successfully log in. To test is cookies are enbled try this Cookie Test.

Login Procedure.

A  Login Form is located on the ledt side of the web page, immediately below the Main Menu.  Enter your username and password into th Form and then click on the Login button.

After access is approved, the Login Form will be replaced by a welcome message and a Logout button.

Once logged in you can access additional (restricted) areas of the website, including facilities accessible from the Members Area menu.

Forgotten your Password?

If you have forgotten your password a new one can be emailed to you automatically.  Click on the "Forgotten your Password?" link under the Login Form.  You will need to enter your username and email address (the address already registered with ASPACI).  If they both match our records, a new random password will be emailed to you.

Enable Cookies in your Browser.

Cookies are controlled in the Privacy settings of your browser.  Details of where this is done vary depending on the brand and version of your browser.

Most current version browsers also allow you to enable cookies on a site by site basis.  If you prefer you can enable cookies for this site, without enabling them for all sites.

For example in Mozilla Firefox 2.0, cookies are set in the Browser Options area.  Select Options... in the Tools menu.  Then select the Privacy tab in the Options Dialog.

To enable cookies globally, tick Accept cookies from sites  and then save settings by clicking on the OK button.  Alternatively, to enable cookies only for this site, un-tick Accept cookies from sites  and click on the Exceptions... button.  Add www.aspaci.org.au to the list of sites with status set to Allow.

Security Programs may also block Cookies.

Even if your browser is set to accept cookies, other Internet Security software may block them prior to reaching your browser.    Some software in this category include:

  1. Norton Internet Security

  2. Norton Personal Firewall

  3. Agnitum Outpost Firewall PRO

  4. ZoneAlarm Pro

  5. ZoneAlarm Security Suite

  6. Sygate Personal Firewall PRO

  7. McAfee Personal Firewall

  8. McAfee Privacy Service

  9. Black Ice Defender

You can test if Internet Security software is blocking cookies by temporarily disabling the software and then attempting this Cookie Test. If the test is passed then you can edit the settings of the Internet Security software to allow cookies from www.aspaci.org.au.
