MINUTES OF 27th MEETING
at Sydney Marriot Hotelon 16 June 1997- Russell Mills opened the meeting at 6.30 pm following a halfday presentation and training seminar in respect to laser survey, scenemapping and laser speed measurement. The seminar was hosted by Philip Lackof Laser Technology Australia and Blair Zykan of Laser Technology Inc ofUSA.

- Previous Meeting:
- Minutes of the previous meeting held on 9 April 1997 hadbeen circulated. The minutes were approved by the meeting and signed bythe chairman.

- Nil.
- The Secretary will write to the General Secretary seekingan updated membership list.

- Future Meetings:
- Colin Wingrove deferred his address on tyres and rubber untilnext meeting which is proposed for Monday 18 August 1997.

- It was suggested that the first meeting after the BrisbaneConference could be held on Monday 1 December 1997. David Cooper is toorganise a visit to the Mt Boyce Vehicle Inspection Station

- Mark George proposes to provide a talk on Motor Cycles tothe first meeting in 1998.

- John Duncan has offered to discuss his research into Photogrammetrictechniques.

- Alan Brown and Andrew Brown could host a meeting at Bathurstduring 1998. Computer simulation and animation are possible subjects. Avisit to Mt Panorama - the track and the Museum; and, to the Land &Information Centre (formerly Central Mapping Authority) could be arranged,if of interest.

- John Tindall suggested that Assoc. Prof. Bill Yandell couldbe invited to talk about Friction.

- Guest Speaker:
- Nil - The chairman proposed a vote of thanks to Philip Lackand Blair Zykan of Laser Technology for the afternoon seminar and buffetwhich was a valuable contribution to the meeting.
