Russell Mills opened the meeting at 6.20

 

Attendance:

Alan Brown, Andrew Brown, Egon Meinhardt, Russell Mills,Jim Munro, Brian Reay, Trevor Care, and Warren Nicol.

 

Apologies:

John Tindall.

 

Previous Meeting:

Minutes of the previous meeting held on 1 September 1997had been circulated.  The minutes were approved by the meeting andsigned by the chairman.

 

Correspondence:

Membership applications were received from Trevor Care andBrian Reay.

 

General Business:

The schedule of future meetings was discussed.

 
Next Meeting:

The next meeting is to be held early February 1998.  Mark George will give a talk on motor cycles.

 

Guest Speaker:

Paul Hansen of L B Wire Ropes gave a very interestingtalk on Brifen wire rope safety fences and showed video recordings of fullscale testing.

The meeting closed at 9.10 pm.
